I know poop seems unrelated to Jesse's diagnosis, but I have a very big suspicion that it has a lot to do with it. So I'm documenting this here too. Jesse's poops have been nasty, nasty, nasty for several months now. Usually he has several each day. They're mostly very loose. Occasionally, he'll go up to 3 days between poops (with much discomfort and acting out), but then when he goes, it'll be either a normal poop or a loose one.
So last night, when Jesse had a blow out, it was really nothing new. Except that this poop left a chemical burn on Jesse, similar to a bad sunburn. It's even on his thighs where it leaked out of his diaper. And yes, his diaper was changed right away. The burn was still there this morning.
Poor kiddo.
Amber, have you ever considered checking his diet out and possible changes to it?
ReplyDeleteI have claudine, and I'm planning on doing just that. I don't want to do it just yet though, as I'm going to discuss having some tests first. He was just screened for Celiac for the second time and we don't have the results from that yet. We haven't ruled out more invasive procedures. I don't want to go that route, but I have a feeling we might need to.
